Recognize

Every child will develop and mature differently.  However, it can be helpful for parents to understand how their child is developing and accomplishing milestones in comparison to other children in their age group.  We've made the following milestone charts available:

• Gross Motor Skills which include sitting, crawling, and walking.
• Fine Motor Skills such as transferring objects, using a sippy cup, or spoon feeding.
• Social/Emotional includes smiling, separation distress, and independence.
• Language such as cooing, babbling, and putting words together. 

If you feel that your child is significantly delayed in several milestones, please consult your pediatrician or contact the Center for Autism.
