Hope Network Services Corporation provides janitorial services to businesses and organizations. The program was created in 2002 to administer work programs with the federal governments’ Ability One Program (formerly JWOD program) to employ individuals with severe disabilities in janitorial positions.
Current work sites include the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum, the Gerald R. Ford Federal Building and Court House, the Veterans Outpatient Clinic, the FAA Airport Control Tower and Flight Standards District Office, the Walker Army Reserve Center, the FAA Systems Support Center, and the Grand Rapids State Office Building.
Pay at these locations is based on guidelines established by the Service Contract Act of the Federal Government and rates are set for each contract according to the current Wage Determination for the West Michigan area. Participants in this program also receive a Health and Welfare cash stipend in addition to their hourly wage to pay for health-related expenses.
