Services from our workforce development team are available at no cost and saves valuable resources normally spent in recruiting, hiring, and training.
How Your Company Benefits
Our team works closely with you to develop specific training programs for your company to support the success and retention of new hires. An entry-level position costs employers a minimum of $1,200 per turnover. We help reduce these costs by pre-screening candidates, pre-employment testing, scheduling job fairs, hosting employer orientation and interviewing, as well as post-hire retention and case management support.

When referred through local partner agencies, we provide individual and group activities designed to help you gain the soft skills necessary for successful employment through:

Hope Network Services Corporation provides janitorial services to businesses and organizations. The program was created in 2002 to administer work programs with the federal governments’ Ability One Program (formerly JWOD program) to employ individuals with severe disabilities in janitorial positions.
Current work sites include the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum, the Gerald R. Ford Federal Building and Court House, the FAA Airport Control Tower and Flight Standards District Office, the Walker Army Reserve Center, the FAA Systems Support Center, and the Grand Rapids State Office Building.
Pay at these locations is based on guidelines established by the Service Contract Act of the Federal Government and rates are set for each contract according to the current Wage Determination for the West Michigan area. Participants in this program also receive a Health and Welfare cash stipend in addition to their hourly wage to pay for health-related expenses.

Prisoner Reentry (PR)
The mission of Prisoner Reentry (PR) is to significantly reduce crime and enhance public safety by implementing a seamless system of services for former offenders as they transition from prison into the community. Individuals involved in this program are referred via the Michigan Department Of Corrections (MDOC).
Hope Network's PR Program seeks to assist participants in becoming work ready and to match them with local employers who can benefit from their skill set and experience. We offer employability skills training, formal and informal career assessments, paid Transitional Work Experiences, and follow along supports once competitive employment has been obtained.

Ready For Work (R4W)
Ready For Work serves moderate to high risk male prisoners located in the Kent County Jail. Referrals are provided by the Kent County Jail with the primary goal of reducing recidivism and assisting individuals with securing employment within three months of release.
This program provides in-reach programming wherein participants are required to complete one day per week for eight weeks of pre-release programming including job readiness training and personal responsibility and behavior classes. Upon release participants voluntarily transition to Hope Network for post-release programming which includes continuing employability skills training, personal responsibility and behavior classes, possible paid Transitional Work Experience, job search activities and post hire retention and advancement services.
