Perinatal Mental Health Services

Helping Moms and Dads Get Back to Themselves:
Mental health services for pregnant moms and new parents.

One in seven mothers suffer from postpartum depression. But many women with Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders delay getting the treatment they need. At Hope Network, our treatment is tailored to the needs of each woman—whether the symptoms show up before or after birth.

Additionally, men can also experience Perinatal Mood Disorders following the birth of their child. The arrival of a newborn often means new roles and responsibilities for fathers and disruption to established ways of living. We recognize this need and offer similar services to men.

Our Team

Our team is personable, caring, and diverse. But just like people in your daily life, you click with some more than others. Connection is key to the success of what we do, so we do our best to pair you with the licensed, Master’s-level therapist who fits your unique needs.

Our Services

Perinatal Mental Health Services provide individual therapy, group didactic, and/or medication management to pregnant and postpartum women as well as new fathers.

The disorders we address include:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
  • Bipolar Mood Disorders
  • Postpartum Psychosis

Our Process

Once we receive a request for care, we provide an intake assessment within five business days. Following the intake assessment, you will work with a therapist to jointly develop a treatment plan that accurately represents their needs and goals. Services are tailored to each person’s treatment based on ongoing assessment throughout the course of care.

We provide services to individuals at our Grand Rapids outpatient services office, 385 Leonard NE, near the corner of Leonard and Lafayette and less than a block away from a Rapid bus stop. Our psychiatrist is also located in this building.

Hours and Days of Service

Our office is open from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday of each week.  Clinicians and the psychiatrist schedule appointments with the people we serve during office hours.

Critical after hour situations are to be directed to emergency services unless otherwise stated in the individuals treatment plan.
