Hope Network Neuro Rehabilitation Hires Psychologist

Hope Network Neuro Rehabilitation, a leader in brain injury rehabilitation, is pleased to announce that KarenFoster, MA, LLP, CAADC has joined the rehabilitation team in Grand Rapids.

Foster comes to Hope Network Neuro Rehabilitation from InterAct of Michigan in Kent County, where she served as the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Clinical Supervisor and Coordinator of the Dialectical Behavior Therapy program. Previously, she held multiple Clinical Supervisor and Case Manager positions for healthcare and therapy organizations.

said Dr. Martin Waalkes, Director of Neuro Rehabilitation, Hope Network Neuro Rehabilitation.

“She has extensive experience in crisis management and in the treatment of severe and persistent mental illness and in leading interdisciplinary teams for persons with complex conditions and multiple diagnoses,” continued Waalkes.

Foster will be responsible for developing new mood and behavior regulation groups as part of our Day Rehab services and work with our residential and outpatient individuals in support of their emotional and behavioral adjustment to neurological and orthopedic injuries.

Foster earned her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Western Michigan University and her Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts, with a Psychology major from the University of Iowa.
